Réimpression, la deuxième !
Mes chers amis,

♥ Happy, I am !!! ♥

Congratulations Lea!!!! I remember back in 2008 and you showed me that beautiful photo and said it was a secret you could not yet speak of......now 2013 and you are still going strong. It is a beautiful book, a treasured possession and I encourage any one you does not have a copy to buy one quick smart. Yes, it is all in French.....but I think that just adds to its beauty. Once again....congratulations!!!

It was a picture "failed", in large format, of a corner of the livingroom, the photographer had given me ... I thought it was "magic" (and I begun to speak about the book when my editor allowed me … lol).
SupprimerWhat a great moment! Thank you, Linda. ♥
Congratulations Lea, It is a beautiful book and I hope to improve my grasp of the French language while reading through it.
RépondreSupprimerOh yes, It's a fun way to learn French, Margaret! ;)
Bonjour Lea'! I want to congratulate You on your soon to be re-issued, 'Le Grand LIvre de la Maison Minature' 3 rd edition! My friend Janine of Minworks, lent me her copy while she is away and I have cherished it as I have poured over the photos and tried to absorb it. This book is now Famous and has become a Classic in the world of miniatures and I only wish that it was also in English so that I had the benefit of it ALL. As it is, the pictures are Wonderful and they speak the Universal Language. I would not apologize for making up words of your own to express yourself Lea, as Shakespeare was known for doing that too. That puts you in very good company I think!
RépondreSupprimerelizabeth
Elizabeth, would you agree to explain me this sentence, please " I would not apologize for making up words of your own to express yourself Lea, as Shakespeare was known for doing that too."?
SupprimerI do not think successfully translate well ... even if I'm sure it is a (very beautiful) compliment when I read the end "That puts you in very good company …"… lol Thank you so much. :)
What I mean is that you said that you " sometimes use words that do not exist". William Shakespeare was known to reconfigure and make up words that are now a regular part of the english language. It also happens with song writers and poets who make up words that fit or express a sound or an emotion and thereafter, it gets incorporated into everyday usage, most often as slang but sometimes as a New Word. Examples are " Groove , Groovy, and Groov'in" "Bootylisious" ( Destiny's Child ) and "Blog" ( shortened form of weblog) ,"LOLing" which my daughter and her friends regularly use in conversation! ... etc, etc. Yes, it WAS a Compliment Lea" How could it be otherwise!? (smiles)
Supprimerelizabeth
Oh, many thanks, Elizabeth, :) as I understand it better, of course.
SupprimerBesides, I think I was too tired yesterday to realize that you were referring to my own invented word (indeed, the translation did not help me to understand the sentence, because I didn't thought at my word… but thanks to your explanation it is very clear).
Invent words, it is true that I love this exercise, it also makes me think of Alice (Through the Looking-Glass): "Is it really necessary that a name means anything? Alice asked in a tone of doubt."
Felicitation, Lea! Tres heureuse pour vous! Ce livre est des plus merveilleux!
RépondreSupprimerMerci beaucoup, chère Lucille.
SupprimerFélicitations, c'est fait
RépondreSupprimerre félicitations, c'est aussi fait

Merci, Joëlle ! :D
:) Bisous.
Congratulations! It is a great book, one of the best miniature books I have, and my favorite!

Catherine ,
(super ! me dis-je).
» lol.
SupprimerTu es géniale !
Bonjour Lea'! I am not certain if my first comment went to you or out into outer space when I hit the wrong key, but I will say again; Congratulations on the re-issue/ 3 rd edition! I admire the integrity of your work and the way that you interpret the vital essence of your miniature homes. This book has become a Classic within the world of miniaturists and allows so many of us to try to aspire to a new standard of excellence because of it.

p.s. IF my first comment DID arrive safely, then please feel free to delete this one or the other
Yes, Elizabeth, it went to me… but it was hard yesterday to be on the computer to validate… :s

Marisa
Thank you, Marisa… I also hope. :)
SupprimerGracias, Carmen. :)
Many thanks to you all ...
Sorry for being late to validate all your comments and respond, yesterday was a special day ... not a minute to myself, lol!
All your posts make me very happy, and the success of my book is due in large part to all of you who also have confidence in me and have always followed me in all my projects.
When I wrote this book while I was creating the tutorials, I thought of you all, to all those who would do it again the same gestures, the same objects that might have in them a little bit about me ... everywhere aroud the world ... It is very impressive and it is a great gift for me to be able to help a lot of people to build the French house of their dreams.
See you soon. Hugs from Paris, ♥ Léa
Congratulations on the next edition of your book!
RépondreSupprimerI must say you are far too modest.
I know that your book helps accomplish people to get the look they want in their houses and minis and reading your book encourages people to make their own miniatures in a way they can get their head around.
It is a great contribution to the miniature world.
Chapeau!
Gee
Many congratulations on your 3rd edition. It's a beautiful book and one I dip into on many occasions. It doesn't matter that I have no French (if I'm that desperate there's always google translate!) The pictures alone speak for themselves.

Gros bisous
